St. Mary’s College RFC throughout Covid-19 lockdowns needed to allow fans and club members to watch League Games. MWX Media were tasked with providing a 1 camera production of their AIL home fixtures while also incorporating live graphics, scoreboard, and advertisements.
Our streams were delivered as a 1 camera with a dual commentary team. We used our broadcast camera setup which included our Sony 4K cameras, Sure 58 microphones, and our Atem Mini Pro. Pre-production included recording pieces with the President of the club before each week to play prior to kick-off. Liaising with the club sponsors of the week to source ads, logos, and any graphics that they might want displayed throughout the match and half-time. Our in-house expert commentator Andrew Blair-White was in attendance at all fixtures to provide lead commentary along side club member Niall Rynne.
Averaging at 2.5k viewers per match, high-speed streams using excellent vantage point of the pitch equipment gained great exposure for the weekly stream sponsors. Club members tuned in globally from as far as New York and Sydney.
